हमारा सपना होता है की हमारा घर बहुत ही आकर्षक हो. घर की अंदरूनी सजावट हो या बाहर का लुक हो उसपर हमारा विशेष ध्यान होता है. घर की बनावट और सजावट को बढ़ाने के लिए हमारे पास बहुत से उपाय और क्रिएटिव आईडियास होते हैं लेकिन हमारा बजट उतना नहीं रहता जिससे हम पीछे हट जाते है. वर्तमान में बिल्डिंग मटेरियल, सीमेंट, रॉड, टाइल्स और अन्य बहुत से घर बनाने के लिए उपयोग में आने वाली चीजों के बढ़ते दामों के कारण हम घर बनाने में असमर्थ महसूस करते हैं.

घर निर्माण के लिए हमारे पास जमीन उपलब्धता होने के बाद भी उस पर निर्माण कार्य के लिए हमें अपनी पाई-पाई जोड़ना पड़ता है परन्तु हमारा बजट सोच से अधिक होता है और हम निराश हो जाते हैं. परन्तु घर के निर्माण के समय कुछ जरुरी बातों का ध्यान रखे तो हम भी अपने बजट में एक शानदार घर बनाकर अपने सपने को पूरा कर सकते हैं.
नक्शे  का चयन

घर बनाने से पहले घर का नक्शा बनवाना सबसे महत्वपूर्ण होता है. हमें आवश्यकता अनुसार नक्शे का चयन करना चाहिये. आप जिस भी इंजिनियर से नक्शे का निर्माण करा रहे हैं उससे 2-3 प्रकार का नक्शा बनवाएं और सभी की तुलना करें. नक्शे का मुख्य भाग जमीन का कुल क्षेत्रफल और उसमें होने वाले निर्माण क्षेत्र का विशेष ध्यान रखना होता है. जिससे कम से कम जगह में अपनी जरुरत के अनुरूप आपका मकान बन जाए और आपको अपने अन्य कार्यों जैसे पार्किंग, पार्क और बाउंड्रीवाल के लिए भी उपयुक्त जगह मिल सके. नक्शे के अनुरूप घर बनाने से आपका बजट 15 से 20 फीसदी कम हो जाता है और सुव्यवस्थित तरीके से स्पेसियस लुक मिलता है.

निर्माण के बाद न करें बदलाव

जनरली हम अपने घर का नक्शा तैयार कर लेते है और घर का निर्माण कार्य शुरू करवा देते हैं. परन्तु मन बदलने पर अपने घर के किचन, बेडरूम और बाथरूम में बदलाव कराते है. जिससे हमारी बिल्डिंग मटेरियल और लेबर कॉस्ट बढ़ जाती है. इनसे बचने के लिए हमें घर के नक्शे का 3डी मॉडल या 3डी नक्शा बनवा लेना चाहिये जिससे हम अपने घर का वास्तविक रूप देख सकते हैं और निर्माण पूर्व ही उसमें अपनी जरुरत के अनुरूप बदलाव कर सकते है.

वर्गाकार हो घर का डिज़ाइन

यदि आप कम लागत में घर का निर्माण करना चाहते हैं तो घर को वर्गाकार (स्क्वायर) आकार मे बनाना चाहिये. घर निर्माण करने वाले विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार वर्गाकार डिज़ाइन में घर का निर्माण कराने से उसकी लागत में काफी कमी आती है और हमारे बजट के अंदर ही घर का निर्माण कार्य पूरा किया जा सकता है.

डबल स्टोरी घर में लागत कम

आप जब भी अपने घर का निर्माण करते हैं तो उसे बड़ा और आकर्षक डिज़ाइन देने के लिए दो मंजिला घर का निर्माण करना सबसे फायदेमंद होता है. इससे आपको कम जगह में बड़ा और आकर्षक घर भी मिल जाता है और स्पेस ज्यादा मिलता है. घर के उपरी हिस्से में निर्माण कराने से कंस्ट्रक्शन मटेरियल कम लगता है और कंस्ट्रक्शन कॉस्ट 20 से 25% कम हो जाती है.

कम दीवार का उपयोग

घर निर्माण के समय यह ध्यान रखें की दीवारों की संख्या जितनी कम होगी उतना अच्छा रहेगा. इसके साथ ही घर की अंदरूनी दीवारों की मोटाई बाहरी दीवारों की तुलना में कम हो जिससे घर को स्पेशल लुक मिलने के साथ पैसों की बचत होगी. घर के अंदर कम दरवाजे और खिड़कीयां लगाने का प्रयास करें उसकी जगह मेहराब का निर्माण कराना चाहिये इससे आपके घर का आकर्षण और भी बढ़ जाता है एवं घर में कम दरवाजे होने से घर की सुन्दरता निखरती है.

बिल्डिंग मटेरियल का चयन

घर बनाते समय सबसे ज्यादा खर्च बिल्डिंग मटेरियल में आता है. घर को आकर्षक बनाने के लिए घर के इंटीरियर का ध्यान रखना चाहिये. लिविंग रूम, गेस्ट रूम किचन, बाथरूम, फ्लोर, लाइटिंग, वायरिंग और वुडेन वर्क के लिए बाजार में अलग-अलग जगहों पर उनकी कीमतों का एक मेसरमेंट लेना चाहिये और सबको कम्पेयर कर जहाँ सबसे सस्ता हो वहीं से मटेरियल खरीदे. घर के मुख्य हिस्सों में ब्रांडेड सामान का इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए जिससे वो लम्बे समय तक चले.

अनुभवी ठेकेदार का चयन

जब भी आप अपने घर का निर्माण कार्य कराना चाहते हैं तो अनुभवी ठेकेदार का चयन करना आवश्यक होता है. जिससे आपके घर का निर्माण कार्य अच्छी तरह से हो सके और बाद में किसी प्रकार के तोड़-फोड़ या बदलाव करने की जरुरत न हो. यह भी ध्यान रखे की निर्माण कार्य नक्शे के अनुरूप हो रहा हो तथा बेस्ट क्वालिटी के बिल्डिंग मटेरियल का उपयोग हो रहा हो अपितु आपके घर की आयु कम हो सकती है.

Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian science for designing and building, unifies science, art, astronomy and astrology. The goal of Vastu Shastra is to restore the balance between buildings and the universe so as to make the lives of the inmates better.
The surprising thing is that Vastu Shastra principles are applicable even today, though ancient India has changed from a largely agricultural society to an urban one. This is because the Vastu factors that impact humans namely the elements of Nature, Sun’s effects, Earth’s magnetic field, cardinal directions and Earth’s energy (Prana) have not changed over the centuries and Vaastu Shastra is essentially the science of manipulating the above-mentioned Vastu factors in a building, so that they are in harmony, which in turn will make the lives of the inmates happy and peaceful.

VAASTU SHASTRA | BEDROOM

The Bedroom is the private place, where you can unwind, relax and sleep. Something that  everyone has  in  common  is  sleeping.  It  takes  upapproximately  one  third  of  your life and therefore is an extremely important factor in your overall health. It is also the space where you get dressed, read and study.

Here are some of the Vastu Guidelines to be considered while designing a Master Bedroom or Children's Bedroom or Guest Bedroom.

LOCATION OF BEDROOM:

• Main Bedrooms in the South.
• Avoid Bedrooms in North-East corner.
• Avoid Bedrooms in the middle of the House.
• Avoid Bedrooms above Car Porch/Garage, Kitchen.

LOCATION OF A MASTER BEDROOM :

• Master Bedroom should be in South-West.
• If there is more than one floor, the Master Bedroom should be on the upper floor, in the South-West corner.
• Avoid Master Bedroom in the South-East corner.

LOCATION OF A GUEST BEDROOM:

• Guest Bedroom should be in the North-West. This corner represents Vayu or movement which implies that Guests who sleep in this bedroom will not stay for long and get going on their way.

LOCATION OF A CHILDREN'S BEDROOM :

• Children's Bedroom should be in the West or East side.

SHAPE OF A BEDROOM:

• Square or Rectangle shapes are the most suitable shapes for the bedroom furniture arrangement.

DIRECTION FOR SLEEPING IN A BEDROOM:

• Avoid Head in North - In fact only a dead body is kept with the head in the North and the feet pointing towards the South.
• Head in East: East is the direction of knowledge and enlightenment. Sleeping with the head in the East increases knowledge and increases a liking for spiritualism. For this reason, children should always sleep with their head in the east.
• Head in West: Sleeping with one's head in the West is good for people who do not permanently reside in the house, like guests and married daughters, in their parents' house.
• Head in South. South is the best direction for sleeping. Sleeping with one's head in the South brings happiness and sound sleep.

DOOR AND WINDOWS POSITION IN A BEDROOM:

• Door should open 90 degrees into the bedroom.- A door that cannot open fully will limit the flow of opportunities.
• Door position in East, West or North. Avoid fixing doors in the South-West of a bedroom.
• Main Windows in East or North. And smaller windows in the West is ideal.

POSITION OF A BED :

• Avoid sleeping in alignment with sharp corners. They should be camouflaged with plants or rounded off.
• Avoid sleeping under beams or slanted ceiling.The remedy is to create a false ceiling.
• Keep beds 2" away from walls.
• Avoid bed directly facing the door. But the bed should be placed in a position where the occupants can see anyone 
• coming into the rooms.

ARRANGEMENT OF FURNITURE IN THE BEDROOM:

• Safe in South-West, opening towards North.
• Open space in the North-East.
• Beds should not be shaky. The mattress should provide good support to the body while resting.
• Dressing table should be in the East or North.
• Study table should face East, North or North-East.
• Avoid Television. If a TV is kept, it should never be directly in front of the bed as it works as a mirror and generates negative energy. It can be kept to the right or left of the bed at an angle for comfortable viewing from bed.
• Computers should be in the South-East.
• Wardrobes should be in the North-West or South-West.
• Keep things that make you happy in front of the Bedroom door.Upon entering, your bedroom, the first thing you see should be something that gives you the feeling of peace and serenity such as a photograph, a favorite quote or even flowers that enhance these positive feelings.
• Keep objects that remind you of unfinished tasks out of the room, or at least out of sight as the bedroom should be a place where you can totally relax.
• Attached Bathroom should be in the East or South-East.
• Avoid a mirror directly opposite the bed.
• Avoid Religious idols in the Bedroom
• Avoid clutter in the Bedroom as it represents stagnation.
• Avoid storing things under the bed.

VAASTU COLOURS OF BEDROOM WALLS:

• Walls should be light rose, gray, blue, chocolate, dark green etc and not bright colurs.

VAASTU EVALUATION EXERCISE FOR THE BEDROOMS: 
This exercise is just a guideline to help you decide, where to position the Bedrooms in your house plan. In case you already have a house, then this exercise will help you to evaluate the location of your existing Bedrooms as per Vastu Shastra principles. Accordingly, you can decide if you want to make some corrections and changes to your house.

• Note the score for the following question and enter it in the score sheet.
• Total the points.
• The points indicate how favorable your House or Plot is, according to Vaastu.
• The interpretation of the record of points is given at the end of the SCORE SHEET
